There’s something for everyone at UHart, and that includes food. Every day, the University Commons dining hall serves up a wide variety of freshly prepared meals in our open-kitchen environment.

You can choose among traditional offerings and the latest in American entrees and ethnically inspired dishes. Vegetarian and vegan options are plentiful, and dietary restrictions and food allergies are accommodated. There’s even a bakery to take care of your sweet tooth.

We know that UHart students are unique: one size doesn’t fit all. That’s why our meal plans are flexible—there’s a plan to fit every appetite, schedule and lifestyle.

Dig in.

Selecting a Meal Plan

As of January 2024, selecting a meal plan is no longer a part of the Housing Application process. All students living in a residential unit for the 202425 academic year will be defaulted into a meal plan.

First-Year students will be defaulted into the “7 Day All Access” plan. This plan offers unlimited meal swipes into the University Commons and includes $100 dining dollars. As our most popular option for first-year students, this plan provides flexibility to meet with new friends for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner 7 days a week!

Students can change their meal plan over the summer and into the first two weeks of the fall semester. More information about how to change/update meal plans will be sent to students through their UHart email. Please contact helpdesk@xgcr.net with any questions.

Returning students will be defaulted into the “Weekly 14” meal plan. This new plan, designed in partnership with Student Government Association (SGA), allows students to use up to 14 meal swipes per week interchangeably at Commons or as a meal equivalency, and includes $600 dining dollars. This new plan provides flexibility for the lifestyle of a busy returning student.

If the defaulted meal plan doesn’t fit the student’s needs, they will have the opportunity to select a different meal plan over the summer and into the first two weeks of the fall semester. More information about how to change/update meal plans will be sent to students through their UHart email. Please contact helpdesk@xgcr.net with any questions.
